Have you noticed how stores are cracking down on the usage of printable coupons? It seems I get questioned about every coupon I try to redeem if it isn’t a store coupon. Vons and Albertsons have told me their new policy was to NOT accept any coupons with the word FREE in it. Especially if it is a printable coupon. I had to convince them that the coupons I had were mailed to me from the manufacturer which you can tell by the back of the coupon. The back is usually a print of some sort to indicate that it’s not just ordinary printer paper. I sometimes feel guilty because they have to get it approved by a manager. But then I am not doing anything wrong so I really shouldn’t feel bad about trying to save money on groceries.

Shame on you people who scan and reprint coupons! Apparently you are the cause of this fiasco at the grocery stores. Abuse of coupons is terrible. Be happy with the one free item and be on your way. I have also seen people scan and reprint coupons and sell them on eBay. If you read the fine print on many coupons, it says you are not allowed to reproduce coupons or sell them.

Anyone else out there who is having difficulty redeeming printable coupons?
